So glad to see u back on line and show and tell is live and well. Russell said this morning you were either in VA or headed that way and I wanted to let you know of one of many places that you might enjoy. Bellview Plantation, located at Flowerdew Hundred, VA. Flowerdew Hundred was an early seventeenth centry land grant owned by Sir George Yeardley. I'm talking 1619.......Flowerdew Hundred is one of the best preserved early seventeenth-centry English settlements yet to be discovered in America. Its size, preservation, and history make it a major source of imformation about early colonization period and the transformation of Englishmen into Americans. I worked there with Pro Jim Deetz in 1980. Flowerdew Hundred is located on the James River in Prince George County off Route 10 If u get a chance go see it.........I don't think u will be disappointed. History rolls off the backs of the mountains and flows along the streams all through the area........ and of course don't forget to play golf at "Greenrbrier"
