We drove around Cleveland for a bit and saw both stadiums, one was closed and one had a game starting soon. Not as many large buildings as I expected. Am I spoiled after Chicago? I don't think there were as many as SF. Then on to The Hall of Fame. It was really fun. Beautiful Building inside and out. Spent way too much time in the Elvis Hall. Thought about you, Sharon. You are so right, the man was gorgeous. Lucky Priscilla. I wonder if he sang to her at home. I can't believe some of the costumes. Glitter and Glam, for men and women. From heavy metal to the white paper jacket that looked like it was made from giant air mail envelopes. Anyone remember air mail? There were several movie theaters constantly playing showing you history and also a theater about Dick Clark and the people on his shows. You were allowed to take pictures but no flash so most of mine just were not light enough to see, but I hope you get the general idea. They probably kept the cases fairly dark to prevent fading. Some of the "art" was pretty weird. I guess I'm getting too mature to enjoy or understand it. The huge hot dog hanging up was actually a car. The top sections opened so three people could get inside, kind of like a kayak.
After the music overload we went down the block to the Nasa Glenn Visitor Center at the Great Lakes Science Center. Another place we had fun. The actual Apollo Command Module used for Skylab 3 was there. junior used controls to steer a robotic robot around. After seeing a model of how the astronauts lay on their backs for takeoff, he insisted we try it. Getting in wasn't so bad, getting out not so easy. I think Don set our space program back when he crashed his "space ship" during re entry. The space suits were fun. It was thrilling to see an actual piece of the moon and junior was disappointed to find it was not made of cheese. The huge rubber stamp was outside the bldg. More later. Donna
