We headed for our next stop and since we went 2 miles past our turn, I got to see a memorial to the Porky Pig cartoonist. Will wonders never cease?
Next stop, Lebanon, Kansas. The Geographic Center of the 48 Contiguous States. Now there is a word I don't use very often. There was a very small park, 2 tables and what must be the smallest Chapel in the world..
Traveling down the road again. Nextt stop, Concordia and TThe Whole Wall Mural. The mural was carved onto 6400 green bricks and then fired. I won't go into details but all of these " incredibly interesting" places can be found on line. There is actually a very small brick mural at Hap Magee Paark in Danville.
On to our last stop of the day. The National Orphan Train Complex. Again, closed on Sunday but had fun taking pictues in the gardens. This really would be a good place to look up. I've read about the trains through the years.According to statistics they have accumulated 1 in 25 Americans are related somehow to the Orphan train.
Spent the night in Junction City, didn't add many Eastern miles yesterday, but I am caught up with you adults.
